Who we are

Aquora is a new Scottish energy infrastructure company created to address one of the most pressing challenges of the transition towards low carbon, homegrown power: the shortage of high quality subsea cable and installation capacity across the UK and Europe.

Founded on XLCC’s engineering and development concepts, Aquora exists to deliver the subsea cable system and installation capability needed to connect renewable power, strengthen national grid resilience, and accelerate the decarbonisation and electrification of our energy systems.

What we do

Aquora provides trusted, end to end subsea cable system delivery — managing every stage from design engineering and route planning through handling, installation, protection works, inspection, maintenance and repair.

At the core of our installation offering is a bespoke, UK flagged Cable Laying Vessel (CLV) and a fully integrated engineering, marine operations and project delivery team based here, in Scotland.

Our environmental impact

We are committed to minimising our environmental footprint across all operations — from design to deployment — and ensuring that critical subsea infrastructure is installed responsibly and efficiently. Through our strategy, we are helping electrify and decarbonise the wider economy, too.
